CARSON VAN VALKENBURG / Principal
Carson Van Valkenburg is an experienced trial attorney and the founder and principal of Van Valkenburg James, P.S. His practice focuses on criminal defense matters and dependency cases.
Carson was born in Portland, Oregon, and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Law and Public Policy at Gonzaga University. While earning his Juris Doctorate degree at Gonzaga School of Law, he interned as a prosecutor with the Boise City Attorney’s Office and twice with the Federal Public Defenders Office for the Western District Of Washington.
Following completion of law school, Carson amassed a great deal of experience in criminal defense while an associate attorney for a criminal defense firm, Law Office of Bajalcaliev & Scudder, and as a public defender for the Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel.
In 2017, Carson founded Van Valkenburg James, P.S. He prides himself on his work ethic and unqualified commitment to each of his clients.
